A little about Freedom Ramp Systems
In 2008, K. Michael Hart started working as a volunteer and project manager for SAWs, Inc., an Indianapolis faith based non-profit organization, building ramps for clients with ambulatory limitations and challenges. Since 2003, the organization has built over 5,000+ ramps in the greater Indianapolis area for financially and medically qualified clients.
Mr. Hart started Freedom Ramp Systems in 2011 to help clients, not served by the non-profit organization, regain some of their freedom and independence. Freedom Ramp Systems uses the same proven, alternative construction method.
Mr. Hart continues to be actively involved as a volunteer with SAWs, Inc., performing on-site client evaluations, designing ramps, pre-fabrication of platform/ramp frames, building and managing ramp projects.
Mr. Hart retired after working 35 years as a medical sales professional. He has resided in Indianapolis area since 1973. He is a graduate of Hanover College and Indiana State University.
Freedom Ramp Systems
Key to Success
A key to this organization’s success is an alternative building process that has evolved over several years. These ramps are less expensive and easier to build than conventionally built wood ramps or large aluminum ramp systems. They are safe, secure, durable and ADA compliant. Property owners/managers, landlords and homeowner associations are more accepting of these non-permanent structures.
Experience
He has evaluated over 900 prospective clients build sites, designed over 600 ramp solutions, and participated in or managed over 400 ramp builds.
